Job Advert Chief Executive

The Federation of Petroleum Suppliers (FPS) seek to appoint a new Chief Executive to lead the FPS in all matters and ensure the industry continues to be represented at both Government and industry level. The Chief Executive will also be key in raising the profile and reputation of the industry and its members.

The Federation of Petroleum Suppliers is the trade association for the oil and fuel distribution industry in the UK and the Republic of Ireland. With over 110 distributor members and 60 Associate members owning some 2,500 tankers, the FPS represents 80% of all oil distribution companies in the UK and Republic of Ireland.

We provide members with a collective voice at national level and ensure industry best practice through accredited support packages and certified training programmes.

The FPS also provides advocacy at Government level.

The position will report to the President and take direction from the FPS Council.

The responsibilities will include:

  • Management of operations of the FPS office, four staff and contracted agencies
  • Management of the FPS finances and payroll
  • Liaise and be influential with key stakeholders
  • Represent the industry at Government level
  • Effectively Communicate and engage with both existing and potential FPS members

We are looking for an established industry individual who can communicate at both senior industry and Government levels as well as appreciate and be valued by the broader FPS membership
